THE EARLY YEARS

http://www.waynealton.myfreeola.com/images/Jezz%20-%20210903.jpgIn 2001, Jezz moved away from his home in Milton Keynes and stayed with work colleagues in Purley, Surrey. He worked as a co-licensee at The Gypsy Moth pub in The Colannades, Purley Way, Croydon. He would come to work with me some days when I was working as a booking clerk at a limosuine hire company based in Charlwood, near Gatwick Airport.

Special days out have included being chauffeur driven in a stretch limosuine to the Royal Albert Hall to see Victoria Wood, another limo hire for 5 hours driving around London's West End and South London on a gay pub crawl with my sister Nikki, her two friends Fran and Laurie and flatmate Paul.
He was very supportive and with me totally when Kingston Hospital's A&E department told me that Betty had died, Christmas Eve 2001 and we had to drive to New Malden and tell my Dad (Nik was also with us).

In 2002, we moved in together in April in to a two-bedrom ground floor flat in Wallington, Surrey. He was very supportive and completely with me for Jean's funeral.

In 2003, Jezz and I went to Julia's 50th birthday celebration at her home in Woodmansterne, on New Year's Eve Jezz dressed in a suit just before midnight, dressed the dining room table with tea candles, all in a heart shape and inside the heart was a champagne bottle and 2 glasses all in a neat holder.

In 2004 we ventured out to the theatre to see Fame The Musical at Bromley, a trip to Thorpe Park and he helped me to overcome my fear of white knuckle fun-fair rides, even if only for a day. We spent many evenings at the gay pub The Goose and Carrot and karaoke nights in the downstairs bar. He was with me to help organise Dad's 80th birthday celebration and the evening meal at Kelong Chinese restaurant in Waddon along with the creation of the 'This Is Your Life' style photo album. He was a huge comfort and very supportive at a friend's funeral, Mark from the The Goose & Carrot (Richard's partner). We also did a photoshoot together with David Jack in Shirley Hills.

In 2005, Jezz was by my side for another funeral, this time Frank Browne's, (Emma's Dad). This year was also mixed with sad and happy times... Jezz's partner from Milton Keynes, Ted died and we attended his funeral. It's also the year that Jezz and I met David Wallis, aka Daddy David in Brighton. Also, Jezz passed his theory test and then his driving test. We both went to see Joan Rivers at the Fairfield Halls, Croydon and we celebrated Jezz's birthday with 10 friends at Park Place, Mitcham. We went again with the family to celebrate Dad's 81st birthday. And we stayed overnight at his Mum and sister's (Joan and Hayley's) for the first time. We finished off the year with friends at The Reflex nightclub, Kingston on New Year's Eve.

Jezz has the kindest heart of all that I’ve experienced in my lifetime so far. He provides all of the support for my ill health and has a level of care that makes him a very special person. (2003)

In 2006, Jezz helped me to overcome two phobias... flying and white-knuckle rides in theme parks. We had cause to join Nick in a business trip to Denmark and Jezz coaxed me to get my passport updated and we went to Copenhagen in May for an overnight stay. We also accompanied Nick and David (Daphne) to return a BMW car to Dunkirk via the ferry. We went to the cinema to see Rent and Jezz exchanged his Renault Clio for a red Suzuki Jimny.

In 2007, there was a health issue (undisclosed), Jezz also started his PADI course for diving, one of special days out included a trip to London Zoo with Mum Joan and sister Hayley.

In 2008, there were two significant losses, our dear friend Jeff in February and my Dad in April. Jezz was there completely. He kept a respectful distance while I attended to Dad's funeral arrangementswith my sisters and he stayed by my side for Jeff's funeral too. We try to do at least one special day out a year and this year it was to Brooklands Museuem and the Mercedes Benz World in Weybridge.

In 2009, in February Jezz and I buy one another an eternity ring each. Jezz lost his Nan (Ivy) and we attended her funeral in Essex. We were together for Michael Charlton's 50th birthday celebration at Henfold Lake where we had a bbq. In June, we learn of another loss, this time is was Dan, Tony's partner and we went to see Tony and again to pay our respects at Dan'd funeral. Jezz and I went blackberry picking at Ashtead Common. We had another special day out and this time with Daddy David to Hastings. We went to Barbara's 60th birthday celebration at The Woodman in Woodmansterne. We went to Melanie's for the day and met her partner then, Mark and Mel's daughter Adele... we had a bbq in their garden. Jezz's gallbladder saga started and he was hospitalised twice, one of them to have it removed. Jezz traded in his Jimny for a lime green Peugeot 207cc, we both bought out first iPhone together, it was the iPhone 4S.

In 2011, Jezz and I did a photoshoot with Michael Keogh at his place, Jezz bought us both a Pandora bracelet each and it started a short-lived interest with everything that was Pandora. We went to London to see DD and then again to collect him and take back home to Brighton. It was our first time at Cosmo's in Croydon and we went with the Gardener family for Vicki and Irene's birthday. We arranged an afternoon spa treatment and lunch in Brighton for DD who was too poorly to join in but turned up. We mourned togther for another loss, Daddy Daddy in November.

We went with Michele, Nikki and Anthony to Norfolk and stayed over night in a B&B. It was to be at Aunty Gwen's funeral. We also went to see a new home in Langley Park Road, Sutton and hated it.

In 2015, Jezz and I underwent the massive saga of moving home. It wasn't far from the flat but we were fortunate enough to be able to upgrade to a 2 bedroom house with back garden and drive for 2 cars. We also spent a day out in Pagham, visiting Barry (the gardener) and meeting his lovely wife Mel and daughter Ellie (and boyfriend Ben) and Lottie the dog. We also went to see Sarah and Karen at their home on the south coast. We bought a Flymo Easi Glide lawn mower together. We met up with Norma at IKEA in Croydon. Jezz went for an interview and got the job at Waitrose and started two weeks later. Meals out included The Beijing Garden, Cheam Village, The Blue Ball, Tadworth (with Nikki), The Mill House, Mitcham and we hosted an evening with Mother, Sara, Jodie, Michele and Nik at our place.

There's nobody who is more there
There's nobody else with the extent of care
There's nobody who shares my scares
There's nobody else anywhere

He does everything, he is everything
