According to Wikipedia, Dennis Edwards was the lead singer for The Temptations from 1968 but I remember him for his massive brilliant single: "Don't Look Any Further" from 1984. And he sadly died two days before his 75th birthday, as he was born on 3 February 1943. He was also married to Ruth Pointer from The Pointer Sisters for a short period in 1977.

Harrison bought a new SSD for my computer from Maplins, on his way home from work. He then came round in the evening and installed it. It was £296.98. An expensive day but has got me up and running again.

British actor Bill Maynard died. He was probably best remembered for his character in the TV series 'Heartbeat.' I remember him from his comedy programme from the 70's 'Oh No, It's Selwyn Froggitt.' But he also appeared in comedies such as In Sickness And In Health, Carry On films and was a policeman in Worzel Gummidge in 1980.

Half sister, Amanda has been toying with visiting for months now and with her healthy CBA attitude to anything and everything, we weren't sure if she was ever going to make it! LOL. She knows I'm joking and for anyone else still wondering what CBA stands for, it's 'Can't Be Arsed!' We had lunch together and a good catch up and she's completely in love with Jezz.

Sister Nikki came round for Sunday lunch. We made roast lamb. After, we all watched the movie Girls Trip. Nik hadn't seen it before. We had plenty of chocolate for Easter too.

Ray Wilkins was an international and football legend and icon. He started his career with Chelsea Football Club and was Captain by the age of 18. He also played for Manchester United and Queens Park Rangers. After his retirement, he continued as a TV pundit, as well as coach and manager for Fulham and Chelsea.

Kate's ex, Chris died last month and today, we all met at Croydon Crematorium to say goodbye for the last time. Dawn Williams was the celebrant.

21 grasshopper Meal: The Grasshopper, Westerham
Jezz and I went out for the day with the idea of going to a garden centre. But we first went to the Grasshopper pub on the Westerham Road, A25 in Surrey. The food was one of the best dining out experiences. I chose the chicken, BLT sandwich with chips and Jezz had the ham and cheese with onion chutney in a ciabatta with chips. It was also a really great day out. We walked around Westerham village and had an ice cream, went to a garden centre and Waitrose shopping the way home.

I drove to the crematorium and met with Kelly, Chris, Ethan and Jake. Everyone else from the family were there and John turned up too. The service was excellent and Debbie and Kelly did great eulogies. We went on to the Morden Brook (formerly The Beverley). Ethan did a reading of his own words, captured on video forever <link is the image on the left>.
28 alfieevans Alfie Evans died, aged 23 months
The plight of baby Alfie Evans from Bootle, Merseyside made international news when parents were refused permission to take their terminally ill baby to Rome's Bambino Gesu Paediatric Hospital in Italy for possible life-saving treatment. Alfie suffered from a rare and undiagnosed degenerative neurological disease. He was born on 9th May 2016. His parents are called Tom and Kate. In December 2016 he fell into a coma and never regained consciousness.

I had a molar tooth extraction, performed by Kiran at Brocklebank Health Centre, Wandsworth. Very painful afterwards.

Nilsen was a serial killer from the 1970's. He's alleged to have killed no less than 15 young men from North London.

Tessa Jowell was a British politician for the Labour party and was the MP for Dulwich and West Norwood from 1992 to 2015.
13 thesheepshed Meal: The Sheep Shed, Botley Hill Farmhouse, Warlingham
Jezz and I drove to this place on our way out to Westerham Village. We'd both seen the pub Botley Hill Farmhouse before but not noticed there was a cute tearoom on the grounds as well. Jezz had the cream scone with jam and a latte and I had a breakfast tea with bacon, advocado and red onion bap which was excellent.

After a walk around Westerham Village, Jezz and I headed out further towards Sevenoaks and found a beautiful pub that was very busy but we had a quiet corner near the bar. We both had a drink and the mixed meat Sunday lunch which was so superb.

Sara and Mother turned up around 12.15pm and Nik came round after work, about 1.30pm. We had homemade BLT baps, cake and ice cream.

Son of Prince Charles and the late Lady Diana, Prince Harry marries American actress Meghan Markle. She appeared in the American drama series: Suits. The wedding took place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. News reports claimed that the wedding cost in excess of £32 million.

Jezz and I made the most of his day off and set off for Brighton again. We had plenty to eat and drink, including a quick half as soon as we had arrived. Then lunch at Tortilla... we both had Burritos and then ice cream followed by a final half a lager after a cup of tea. Bought myself a new pair of Skechers and a new iPhone case too.

Stopped off in Tolworth on my way back from refreshing Dad's flowers at Kingston. I had a cup of tea and Sunday roast beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and three vegetables with gravy and horseradish sauce.

Ben Hamill, accomplished tattooist, working in Farnborough, Surrey did this tattoo of my Dad. It's on the outside of the left lower leg, took 5 and a half hours and it's not quite finished yet.

Jezz and I drove to Reigate Village and shopped around for a while in the charity shops. I bought 3 pairs of shorts and 2 t-shirts. Jezz bought a lambswool cardigan.
We then went to an Ask Italian restaurant and saved 40% of the food part of the bill using Jezz's John Lewis Partnership discount card.

Amanda kindly sent me a lovely silver pill/trinket box. It arrived in the post today. On the lid says "I love you brother" with two hearts. Inside there was a small bag of jelly beans style love heart shapes.

Tab Hunter was an American actor and I remember him for his massive hit single 'Young Love' in 1957.
14 eastbourne Day Out: Eastbourne 2018
Jezz and I spent the day together. We headed out not sure of where we were going and started off at The Red Barn in Lingfield where we had breakfast. We then drove on to Eastbourne, had a walk along the prom, the pier and the high street, with plenty of seated breaks and even back to the car at one point. We had fish and chips in the Qualisea Fish Restaurant.

Barry Chuckle, half of the comedy duo the Chuckle Brothers, has died aged 73. The entertainer, whose real name was Barry Elliott, starred in ChuckleVision with his brother Paul on the BBC between 1987 and 2009.

Queen of Soul and iconic soul diva, Areatha Franlin dies. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2010. My favourite song by Aretha is Another Night. It was played weekly like a gay anthem at Palm Beach nightclub in Streatham, South London in the late 80's. However, in my browsing Aretha Frankling songs on YouTube on the day of her death, I discovered 'Honey' which is fabulous.

Jezz and I went out shopping and stopped off in Epsom. We went to the Plaice To Eat, a fish and chip shop that sells take away and has a restaurant area through the back of the shop. Jezz had the cod and chips with mushy peas and I had the sirloin steak (but never again). Love the shop and would go back again though... just not for the steak!

Today, Vicki, Jezz and I met with Ray, Dawn, Mary and Brian at Croydon Crematorium for David's memorial service. Rachel and I paid tribute and Dawn carried out the service. It was a sad but enjoyable time. We then gathered at The Masonic Hall in Oakfield Road, Croydon and had food and spoke of more memories of David.
