9 rav4 Test drove: Toyota RAV 4
Went to the Toyota car showroom and met with Eric. He first took me out in the C-HR which is a funky looking car, maybe under-powered but looked good. Then, I drove the RAV4. It was nice, big and comfortable but I was disappointed with the acceleration.
10 kuga Test drove: Ford Kuga
Went to Dees of Croydon, the dealership for Ford and spent some time with Leo. I drove the Kuga and was expecting nothing. But I loved it. It's definitely in my shortlist.

We've been buying Philips Hue lighting and it's setup in both our rooms. Next was the hallway downstairs and now, depending on the time of day, the light automatically comes on, triggered by a motion sensor that has been placed above the lounge door. I bought this item in John Lewis At Home, Croydon.

A terrorist attack took place in the vicinity of the Palace of Westminster in London. The attacker, 52-year-old Briton Khalid Masood, drove a car into pedestrians on the pavement along the south side of Westminster Bridge and Bridge Street, injuring more than 50 people, four of them fatally. After the car crashed into the perimeter fence of the Palace grounds, Masood abandoned it and ran into New Palace Yard where he fatally stabbed an unarmed police officer. He was then shot by an armed police officer and died at the scene.

Nikki, Jezz and I set off around 8.30am and stopped off for a breakfast in a cafe on the A23. We got in to Brighton and parked in an NCP. We arrived in perfect time at The Grand Hotel in Brighton. The spa included 3 hours of pampering and nibbles. Steam room, massages, therapy body scrubs and manicure. A completely self-indulgent day. Thanks to Jezz.

I went to the Cooper garage and showroom to have the car MOT'd and strolled along the Brighton Road to the Brewers Fayre Heathside pub and restaurant. The unlimited breakfast was amazing. It was only £8.99 and I had so much food, including a bowl of fresh fruit, 2 mugs of tea, toast, crumpet and 2 plates of breakfast.

22 arianagrande Disaster: Manchester Arena terrorist attack
A suicide bombing was carried out at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, following a concert by American singer Ariana Grande. The attacker was identified as Salman Ramadan Abedi, a 22-year-old British Muslim who detonated a shrapnel-laden improvised explosive device at the exit of the arena after the event. Twenty-three adults and children, including Abedi, were killed and 119 were injured, 23 critically.
Abedi was initially suspected of working within a terrorist network, and various people were arrested in connection with the incident. Police later said they believed he had largely acted alone.

The actor was best known for appearing in Last of the Summer Wine and was also famous as the voice of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit. He played Norman "Cleggy" Clegg in Last of the Summer Wine from its first episode in 1973 until the series concluded in 2010. He was the only actor to appear in all 295 episodes of the sitcom.
3 londonbridgeattack Disaster: London Bridge & Borough Market terrorist attack
At 9.58pm, three people carried out a terrorist attack in two locations in central London. The attack began when a white van rammed pedestrians on London Bridge. The van drove on and came to a halt south of the bridge. Three men left the van and ran to Borough Market, where stabbing attacks took place in restaurants. One witness reported that the attackers shouted "This is for Allah" and stabbed patrons with a knife. Seven people were killed and 48 injured in the attack. Three suspects wearing fake explosive vests were shot dead by police. They dealt with this all within 8 minutes. The Metropolitan Police declared the London Bridge and Borough Market attacks to be "terrorist incidents."

A gunman, named as 64-year-old Nevada resident Stephen Paddock, opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel towards an open-air music festival attended by 22,000. He killed himself as police stormed the room where morethan 20 guns were found.
