Friday 18 May 2012On Friday 18th May 2012, I took a drive down to Brighton to be alone. I've done it before and it's normally when I'm feeling down. I spent time outside DD's flat, looking up and remembering fondly how much he meant to me. I also went to the marina, a sauna and a ride on the Brighton Wheel. I had an evening meal in the Harvester before coming home.
Sunday 8 April 2012We all gather for the wonderful birthday celebrations of our Michael Drew. It was held at his place and was pretty much an open day from midday but by 4pm, I think we were all together at one point. There was much merriment, loads of drink and even more food. It was an excellent day.
27 March 2012Here's my gorgeous and most talented little girl, Kelly. Singing for the first time ever at an open mic night with her Grandad, John. First song is Ed Sherrin's "The A Team" and her second song is Adele's "Make You Feel My Love." The venue was The Coach House pub, Horsham Road, Cowfold.
Jezz and I collected Michael (M.D.) and drove to Donald and Ian's in Hook, Surrey. We had wonderful food: home-made chicken liver pate wrapped in parma ham, main was a chicken fillet breast in a tomato, garlic and herb sauce with courgettes, peppers and onions and dessert was a home-made sponge, topped with a chocolate mousse and fresh cream and raspberries... I had some of the fresh pineapple and raspberries too! We spent the evening drinking champagne and red wine and chatting beyond midnight! Fabulous evening and thank you Donald and Ian.
My Dad
My dad is most precious to me, in a very important way,
He's one of those guys who knows how you feel, before you even say!
To be in his company, just for an evening,
Is so wonderfully warming, I never feel like leaving!
To find someone quite like him, is too harder mission,
No one could fulfil, his unbelievable skill to listen!
If I could keep one thing, the thing that I most love,
Is the heavenly embracing warmth, just from one hug!
Humour comes in abundance, he is the definition of laugh out loud,
And when I think of all my relations, he is the one that makes me proud!
Telling the truth has never been hard with my dad,
He made me feel loved even if I'd been bad!
I can honestly say that the one person in this world that knows me the best,
Is my dad! He seems to listen, care and react more than the rest!
You could say, he's like a best friend,
But the connection is more than that, I know it will never end!
There's no way to thank you, for being there for me,
I love you so much, from zero to infinity!
So to sum it all up, I am a little crazy-mad,
For you my precious, my friend, my dad !

Friday 18 November 2011After weeks of Maggie being at home and kept comfortable by Dave, Irene, Kate and Karen... our Maggie finally passes away this evening at 10.44pm.
Kate's daily blog in a secret group on Facebook has been an enormous comfort as we read other people's words of comfort, remembering fondly. Maggie, I will never ever forget what an incredible and wonderful person you have been in my life. I am so lucky that I got to hear your laughter so many times, in person, through the phone and in Messenger online. Luckier still, that I am able to play that laughter back at any moment.
Sunday 13 November 2011Well my darling Daddy David. Goodbye to a friend who for me, wore so many hats… My Father figure that simply took over from where my own Daddy left off. David was the strength when I felt weak; he filled my sad spots with glad spots, he gave me sound advice and mentored me through moments of uncertainty, he educated me better than any geography teacher had done and best of all, we both spent his last couple of years moaning the world to rights like the two perfect grumpy old men that we both were.
Nobody else but you will understand not only how much I will miss you but what I will miss about you!
See you again one day!
Bye for now, Wayne (one of your boys)
Today I finally took the bull by the horns and had the tatto that I've been wanting done for years. Well only the last three years when it came to choosing what to have done. I'd always wanted one but never really knew what and then, after seeing Dad's drawing of the family crest that he desgined over 30 years a few years back, I decided that it would be that image that I know I'd never regret having done... and I don't!
The amazing Bjorn Nilsson
I love everything about this guy... obviously his looks but more importantly; his music and approach to music. This young man's talent comes straight through his videos and his heart-melting voice is just excellent. Take a look at his web site and see for yourself. If you disagree with anything I've said: then you're a) not hearing what I hear b) deaf c) not in to decent man-made music with talented writing skills. Click on the photo to navigate to Bjorn's web site.
MUSIC, VIDEOS, MOVIES AND MORE
This page has links to some of my most favourite music tracks ever, including a couple of my own. I've created some mini movies and then uploaded them to the web site YouTube. I've then linked them to this page. And finally, I've dug out some archive material from my DJ days at hospital radio, Radio Lollipop from 1979, when I was just 12 years old.
MY DADDY
12 November 1924 - 12 April 2008The biggest loss in my life that is, and always will be... my dear father. He continues to live on inside of me: with his laughter in my mind and his love in my heart. Broken and lost, I spend the never-ending task of picking up the pieces... and re-living some of my most cherished memories that have Dad in them.
REMEMBERING FOREVER
This is a page I've dedicated to those who have been near and dear to me and that have passed on. Family include my Grandmother who died in 1989 and my nephew of 18 months, Billy. And now, most recently, my Daddy, who died April 2008. Friends Jeanie, Miles, Frank, Marc are sadly missed but so fondly remembered.
HM-MA-NA
After much discussion and readers request to bring back the hm-ma-na and bi-eck sections, we have decided to resurrect these pages. Click on the photos to go to the relevant page. But only on the promise that you'll help by sending us your mobile captures. Please!
BI-ECK
And twinned (deliberately missing the point of the expression twinned) with the hm-ma-na page on waynealton.com comes the fabulous bi-eck page. It's a page dedicated to buxom women with wide rear ends. Gawd bless 'em!
WAYNE'S DRIVEN
Another page dedicated to all the cars that I've either had the privilege to drive or ones that I've owned or shared with partners of old. Some of the pictures are of the actual car but of the ones where I didn't take a picture at the time: I've had some fun trying to find a picture that best matches the car.
RECOMMENDALTONS
waynealton.com has its own recommendations page: if there's a business you're after, then have a look to see if we used the same line of work from someone... if they were fab, they'll be on this page!

PREVIOUS QUOTES
I would like to remind our infrequent visitors of the "Previous Quotes" page. Some folk have contributed to waynealton.com over the years without even knowing it! The Previous Quotes page is all about either wacky, hysterical, inappropriate or just plain beautiful statements that have been said by those near and dear.
THE CURRENT QUOTES OF THE MOMENT ARE:
Wayne: "Jezz bought me a mirror screen protector earlier today."
Kelly: "Oh wow... is it a mirror?"
Wayne: "Yes darling. Which goes part of the way to explain why it's called a mirror screen protector!"
In a Skype conference phone call, Richard, Lee and I were trying to out-do one another with our genuine claims to fame with sexual celebrity partners... I thought I was on to a winner by announcing my oral achievement with a certain Jean Paul Gautier in the upstairs cruising bar of The L.A., in London, until I was beaten completely by both Lee and then Richard's sexual accomplishments.
"I've had Alan Whicker on top of me!" ~ Lee
"I've been w***ed off by Wayne Sleep!" ~ Richard <Hahaha! Outstanding Richard>
I'm so proud of you both! Haha!
